Achievements (AKMU)

ICAR ERP (MIS/FMS)
Council has implemented MIS / FMS software at all of its constituents for online recording and tracking of administrative, financial and research information. This is a web based solution and accessible to all stakeholders over the internet. Initiative was taken by the institute to implement MIS / FMS software to ease daily administrative and financial activities. Training was provided to institute staff for its implementation in various divisions and sections. Personnel data, Payroll, Leave Record, Bills, etc are being managed at the institute using this software
AEBAS
Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) is one of the wisest initiative by Government of India to register the attendance record of its employees based on Aadhaar number. For its implementation at the institute, both Wall mounted Biometric Attendance Terminals and Desktop based Fingerprint Scanner devices were purchased and installed in various buildings, division and sections of the institute. Registration of employees was made on AEBAS dashboard registered by the institute (http://iisrlko.attendance.gov.in) using their profile, Aadhaar Number and Finger Print registered with UIDAI. As on today, all employees of IISR, Lucknow register their attendance using this system only.
e-Procurement and e-Publishing
Central Public Procurement Portal (cppp) was launched by Govt of India as central hub for management of all tenders floated by its offices. e-publishing and e-procurement are two major modules of the system to publish tender online on cppp portal. Earlier institute was using epublishing way of publishing tenders on cppp. Now it has grown up to e-tender all its purchase of goods, services and work through e-procurement method. Roles and responsibilities has been set in the system for more than 25 administrative and scientific staff for its smooth functioning at the institute and its regional stations. Various roles assigned are tender creator, tender publisher, bid opener, evaluator, etc. As a result today we manage all e-tenders using cppp portal.
GeM
Speedy intiatives were taken the institute for purchasing goods and services using Government-eMarketplace (GeM). After registration of institute and director as primary user; roles and responsibilities were set for various administrative staff on GeM portal. Buyer, Consignee, DDO and PAO accounts has been created for various employees to ease the job of purchasing through GeM. Today all purchases at the institute are being made only through GeM.
Institute Website
All the information about the institute to its stakeholders is being provided through institute website (iisr.icar.gov.in). Site has been made bilingual (both Hindi and English) and launched through NIC web server. It is being regularly updated for all of institute events, tenders, jobs, activities, research achievements, staff, division/section, publications, etc. Further, a new website of AICRP on Sugarcane has been developed and launched by the institute
ICAR Unified Communications System
All the staff of the institute has been provided with official email under ICAR Unified Communications System to tackle routine messaging services. Both designation-wise and name-wise email-ids has been created for the institute under the domain icar.gov.in. System is fully functional at the institute for routine official communications among staff.
PFMS
PFMS initiative was made by Ministry of Finance to provide a central platform to monitor all financial transactions by central government offices. Registration of the institute along with concerned officials has been made on PFMS website. Currently all financial transactions are being made usingthis system.
Cashless Transactions
Institute was first to implement cashless transaction facility at its campus. PoS machines has been purchased / hired along with registration of SBI account at various cash counters of the institute.
National Knowledge Network
Institute is well managing internet connectivity provided by Government of India under National Knowledge Network (NKN) project. 500mbps link over optical fiber channel has been provided to the institute and is being managed by the institute in collaboration with National Informatic Centre (NIC). Link is being used for all internet based applications and particularly ICAR ERP, Biometric Attendance, Emailing, e-Procurement, GeM, PFMS, Institute website, etc.
ASRB Online Examination Centre
Institute has established Online Examination Centre at its campus to organize various ASRB / ICAR examinations. A state of art computing infrastructure along with Servers and Power backup is being maintained at the institute to host online examination of ARS, NET and recruitment to Administrative posts of ICAR.
Miscellaneous ICT Projects
Variety of ICT based applications are being used at the institute for routine information management and communication purposes. PERMISnet (for personnel record management), PIMSnet (for research project information), HYPM (Half Yearly Project Monitoring), m-Kisan (for advisory services to farmers), e-Kiosk, Intranet are some of them
ICT Infrastructure
Institute is well equipped with latest computing infrastructure in the form of Desktop Computers, Notebooks, Printers, etc. Presently more than 180 computers along with printers are being used at the institute over its Local Area Network laid on FOC and CAT6 network. Necessary Servers and Switches have been placed for communication and application services.
